Foul Filter Beta is a Joomla plugin/mambot to filter content based upon superadministrator defined criteria. This plugin allows for masking (hiding) a user defined set of words and replacing them with **** characters once published. This plugin also allows for setting masking for visitors who are not logged on OR for all members regardless of group. The goal of the mambot is to help filter/hide certain "words" from underage users and search engines. To use this plugin; simply install the mambot normally and then configure it from the mambot admin. The two radio boxes represent guest filtering (on/off) and member filtering(on/off). By selecting either the mambot will filter your comma separated word list for the appropriate selected group (guests/members). ** Important: This plugin does not change/alter your content items, it masks your defined list of obscene/bad words and masks them when they are rendered by Joomla.** *Once complete SAVE & simply publish the mambot.* |

Just a little test article to see how things look. Google has confirmed it will sponsor the Google Summer of Code 2007, and Joomla! will again be participating in this great event. Last year we had six sponsored projects, guided by twelve mentors and six students working on research for the future Joomla! 2.0. This year we will try to be even more productive and more successful than we were in 2006. For Joomla!, the Summer of Code brings several benefits. It helps bring fresh ideas and talents together in a co-ordinated way and has provided the project with four new development workgroup members who are now active in creating Joomla! 1.5. We expect one of these students to be a mentor within the 2007 Summer of Code Campaign. |

Well - here we are, at Shawn's instigation we are reviving the SCM-RPG site and see what happens. Not too sure what direction it will take this stime around - but I would like to see it as a place where interested parties can discuss anything that has to do with the Science Fiction genre - eg books, films and TV shows. I would also hope to attract some artists to display their "Fan Art" or SF inspired images in the gallery. Somehow along the line we need to re-integrate all the SCM-RPG resources that are laying around and encourage people to join us in some collaborative writing or publish their own stories. What would be good is to see some stories developed using the SCM Universe as the background setting and in doing so expand what we already have. Maybe even integrate some Role Playing either via News or a Forum - will have to see how this pans out. |
